Hi,
I am a part time student currently undertaking my year 12 VCE and would
be interested in some part time/casual work.
A bit about myself:
I've used Linux as my primary operating system now for about 4 or 5
years, completing about 95% or more of my work from the console since
I'm vision impaired and it's much more efficient. I'm
very confident with the command line, but also have a good knowledge of
gui desktops and applications. I'm very familiar with emacs and many
other command line utilities. I know bash scripting, python, emacs lisp
and some basic C. I produce all my formal documents in LaTeX including
mathematics and physics. I also have a reasonable knowledge of html
markup. I've also had experience with windows and am reasonably
confident in this environment.
I've completed work experience in 2010 at the University of Melbourne
undertaking general system administration tasks, and I've also worked as
a paid web-accessibility tester, testing websites in terms of their
accessibility for the blind and documenting my feedback.
I'm enthusiastic, always willing to learn and very energetic.
