Hi, Stock ROMs only... I know later versions are possible if you don't wish to rely on running stock Android. Samsung i9300 -- stuck on 4.3 - may never get another update?, has vulnerabilities (at least one). Samsung i9505 -- stuck on 4.4.2 - heck, almost every other manufacturer can do better than that! OnePlusOne -- 5.02 (CM12 based on Lollipop) - just released today (for my phone) It took a while, but the OnePlusOne finally has Lollipop; Samsung is stagnant completely. What are people's experiences with official updates on other brands of phones in AU ? Is LG better? Other brands? I know Google is (Nexus phones), but their latest is way too expensive, especially compared to their earlier options. Thanks A.

Sorry this is less than 4 hours notice but I might as well still mention it since Peter Selwyo's name doesn't appear in a search of my Yahoo email, The "Free Software Melbourne (Melbourne)" [yes, redundancy in name name] meetup is at 6pm on the third Thursday at VPAC Head Office Training Room, 110 Victoria st, Carlton South. There seem to be two separate issues here 1/ the email is not appearing as I intended it to appear 2/ possibly the way I intend it to appear; is not as some might wish it. Text suffering from poor legibility can be fixed through better typography, or in some cases turning on a reading lamp. Text suffering from poor readability can be fixed by rewriting it to make the semantic content more easy to discern. Yr. welcome.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Anarchists have been using the term "libertarian" to describe themselves and their ideas since the 1850's. According to anarchist historian Max Nettlau, the revolutionary anarchist Joseph Dejacque published Le Libertaire, Journal du Mouvement Social in New York between 1858 and 1861 while the use of the term "libertarian communism" dates from November, 1880 when a French anarchist congress adopted it. Since then, particularly outside America, it has always been associated with anarchist ideas and movements. Taking a more recent example, in the USA, anarchists organised "The Libertarian League" in July 1954, which had staunch anarcho-syndicalist principles and lasted until 1965. The US-based "Libertarian" Party, on the other hand has only existed since the early 1970's, well over 100 years after anarchists first used the term to describe their political ideas (and 90 years after the expression "libertarian communism" was first adopted). It is that party, not the anarchists, who have "stolen" the word. Later, in Section B, we will discuss why the idea of a "libertarian" capitalism (as desired by the Libertarian Party) is a contradiction in terms. Suspect disk control

Good afternoon all Sorry to ask here, but I can't think how to structure a web search. On my desktop PC after running for say 15 minutes I hear a click, and the disk activity lights up solid for 2/3 seconds. PC also becomes unresponsive. This will repeat every 10/15 minutes. I have tried swapping the disk on to a different SATA output, without any change. I know it is getting old, but it has had little use most of its life. Any suggestions of cause and fix please. Apparently it's a PITA to get a 4K monitor going but this is a mostly solved problem (according to an LCA2015 lecture).
