Last year, like many, I made a couple of remarks about the loss of life of some favourite people in the entertainment industry. It is to my shame that I didn't comment on the time on the passing of Dr. D.A. Henderson, the person in charge of the eradication of smallpox. It took him and the team a mere 10 years to end smallpox on the planet. Smallpox was responsible for the deaths of an estimated 500 million people in the 20th century.
