What's the best way of buying bitcoin? I'm after low margins and I don't mind using a credit card, EFTPOS, or other methods that mean the seller knows my ID. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

If you mean Bitcoin as opposed to Bitcoin Cash (BCH) that was forked from Bitcoin, then I would suggest CoinJar. CoinJar won't do BCH, but seem good for Bitcoin. There is also BitLio, however, BitLio was previously known as IGOT, and IGOT has a bad reputation - do a Google search to see what I mean. You might get better rates if you exchange with somebody in person, not something I have had personal experience with.

Back when I investigated the problem last there seemed to be several trade-offs: -security and anonymity versus convenience -conversion rate versus convenience One of the easiest methods seems to be to use a bitcoin 'ATM'; eg https://coinatmradar.com/city/102/bitcoin-atm-melbourne/ regards Rohan McLeod

May not give you good rates. Actually, last time (last year IIRC) I tried the ATM in Emporium (is it still there?) I found it didn't work. Got about 1 or 2 steps through the dialog and the software crashed. However, that was some time ago now. Have a vague recollection its owner may have changed also.

I've had decent experiences with BTC Markets (btcmarkets.net) in the past, but haven't traded in a while. They are local, though and have a somewhat useful API as well. Regards, Ben
