Peter; lets take your analogy; the literal fact is that the 1 of 76 is not going to stop the boat; going over the waterfall; the hope would be that this action would influence the other 75. If you wish to speak to other than the converted and avoid helping right wing demagogues like , Morrison you need to make this clear. Human created climate change will take many years to rectify even with consensus and effective action. Thus perhaps a better contribution to safety in the bush-fire seasons in coming years would be design of seriously bush-fire resistant houses -built only from non combustible materials -built into or under the ground to avoid radiant heat flux -including extremely large underground water storage for spray irrigation systems - -including large solar powered storage underground to drive such irrigation. regards Rohan McLeod
