In 3-5 weeks the LUV server will no longer be running at it's current location due to V3/VPAC closing. We are in the process of making other hosting arrangements. One issue that is yet to be discussed is where to host the lists, in the past Linux Australia offered to host lists for us and we may take them up on that offer if it's still available. If anyone knows of an organisation that might offer us free hosting then please email the committee. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

I presume that they are making arrangements to move them. I hope that they have made more progress towards moving them than we have. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

Maybe you have better information then me(???), however according to this blog post "The Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing Ltd (VPAC) trading as V3 Alliance will cease its current business operations on December 31st, 2015 after 15 years of serving the Australian research community." http://levlafayette.com/node/510 If so, we don't have 3-5 weeks... -- Brian May <brian@linuxpenguins.xyz> https://linuxpenguins.xyz/brian/

They aren't going to just pull the plug on the 31st. I believe that the server room is being taken over by another associated organisation which gives us a little more time. However our access to the server room may be significantly reduced on the 31st. So if the LUV server has a hardware problem on new year's day it might involve significant downtime. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
