Should I have added smileys to your post? Well, I guess all I can say is that I hope that we work through this all with reasonableness and good will. I think that for membership we have a pretty well established and accepted mechanism. For things like contentious resolutions and proxy voting, we don't have so much experience -- so in the absence of that experience, the best we can do is follow the laid-out rules as seem reasonable.
