certainly hacking the hardware / (software really). I built a small app ages ago just before I changed countries and lost the code but have since re-discovered stuff. What are you suggesting? A geo-caching meetup? Hacking the hardware? Connecting it to a Linux box as a NTP source?
Probably all of those options would get some interest.
