Hello again List, Thank you for your reply Kathy. I would definitely be happy to attend any meet organised in Geelong in the future. Just let me know where, when and if you could use any assistance in any way. I will give a brief introduction of myself and my interests. I am 21 and have been interested in sysadmin, web development, network security and *nix for a number of years. I currently work in an IT support role for a small Geelong based company, providing IT solutions/support to local businesses. My aspirations are to eventually work in IT Security, however that is quite a while away. I use Ubuntu 12.04 at home (Dell Inspiron 7720) and I am quickly learning the Ubuntu OS. Despite my personal preference for Ubuntu, I use/support Windows at work and 99% of my experience/knowledge is in the Windows environment. I'm not an expert in anything but I love learning all different aspects of computing and information technology and would love to share my knowledge and learn from others around me. I am looking forward to building a home server in the near future and experimenting with the opportunities that creates. I'm also very excited to be attending my first computing related conference - RuxCon - in a weeks time. I'd be happy to hear from any other Geelong people attending.
