Generally any cruise that is less than $100 per night is cheap, so $705 for 13 nights is really cheap. I've just been on the Dawn Princess, a smaller ship from the Princess line (so presumably the Diamond Princess is better in every way). The food in the Main Dining Room was better than you can get for a $100 meal anywhere in Melbourne (AFAIK, let me know if you are aware of any good restaurants you think I've missed).
