eeePC900A, key-board problem

Assembled Illuminati; presumably a hardware problem. My eeePC900A after many years of nearly faultless service , has developed a key-board problem. I say nearly, because I long ago augmented the track-pad with a USB mouse, after one button became effectively 'dead' (wish I had done it earlier !). Some time ago I also augmented the keyboard with a USB one. I say augmented because the original keyboard still functions , ..........unfortunately for me. The problem is after warming up intermittently; some keys on the built in keyboard become stuck 'down' rendering what is otherwise a working machine unusable......... any suggestions, particularly from eeePC / laptop owners ? regards Rohan McLeod

If you don't need the built-in kb at all why not just disconnect it?

Yes; John Krivitsky has suggested as much off- list and kindly offered help with this; preliminary to replacing the keyboard .Many thanks to John and Anders; ......I should have thought of contacting luv-talk earlier ! regards Rohan McLeod ps Anders is the time and date stamp above:

That's how your messages show up. I'm currently in the GMT +1 timezone so Thunderbird (and possibly Gmail) are translating timestamps which is likely the issue. However, other users' messages to LUV are coming through as *correctly* translated to GMT +1. Rgds, Anders.

Great great granddad would have been a prince. He had the right father but his mum was a maid at the castle. Scandal! Ja, i Sverige. :-)

Makes my head hurt. While your time stamp is as above, Russell's msg from a few minutes ago shows as "11:50". The time here and now is 11:57 (AM on 22/05). So it's just your messages :-)
