No, that's just more /convenient/ support to the BS and a good excuse. How does Holland stay afloat, New Zealand too? Dykes, long before the global cooling / global warming / climate change fraud ever existed. A.

Dikes cost a lot of money to build and maintain. The Netherlands has been a wealthy country for hundreds of years. Countries don't "stay afloat", it's an issue of how high above the sea floor they are. Volcanic islands such as New Zealand have an advantage in that they have mountains. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/climate-deniers-intimidate-journal... Now we have recursive conspiracy theories from the climate deniers. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

Sure, afloat probably isn't the best word, but I'm not going to stress over it.

Both New Zealand and the Netherlands are actually engaging in massive projects to protect their coastlines. In the Netherlands, the Delta Project has identified ten major weak spots are upgrading the dykes - they even have massive evacuation plans in place. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/03/news/03iht-03dutch.15877468.html?_r=0 New Zealand's government also recognises the challenges cause by climate change to coastal areas. https://www.mfe.govt.nz/publications/climate/effect-coastal-sep01/index.html -- Lev Lafayette, BA (Hons), GradCertTerAdEd (Murdoch), GradCertPM, MBA (Tech Mngmnt) (Chifley) mobile: 0432 255 208 RFC 1855 Netiquette Guidelines http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1855.txt
