It's a splendid and spirited rant, but I think you must have me confused with someone else, as I see zero threat from some piece of Poetteringware to my personal ability to operate effectively with privacy and choice. In fact, I tend to severely mock the 'systemd is being forced on me' crowd, as they are delusional and a bit pathetic.

As often as I reasonably can, but, at the moment, only in my mind and family culture. ;-> At the moment, my wife and I are actually on the road to Seattle, Washington state, USA, where there's a well-known Scandinavian neighbourhood called Ballard. That's not the reason we're visiting, but it's not every day you find good gravlax, pickled herring, and jars of lingonberry jam. Skål!
