Our treatment of refugees is the most-reported Australia topic for
years by now. We are getting famous for it. Sorry, infamous.
We may look the other way. The civilized world does not.
Apologies for being such a pest.
But maybe the bigger pest is some ongoing issue since 2001. This is 15
years of state-sanctioned inhumane campaigning against refugees and
ignorance of our international obligations by now.
It is high time for all Australians to do something about it.
