That might prove something about the people who APPLY to be in reality TV shows and probably proves something about the people who's applications are accepted. But it doesn't prove anything about the general population. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roosh_V "Valizadeh owns the website ReturnofKings.com, which bans 'women and homosexuals' from commenting." It sounds like that whole returnofkings thing is for men who have issues with internalised homophobia. Anyone with those issues should see a psychologist and learn to accept their sexuality instead of just hating women and other gay men. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

# In hindsight, I can see I should have been more strict. My idealism was my # downfall because I tried to see the best in people - I was convinced they # would behave as they were treated, so I treated everyone kindly. I think that the above paragraph is key to understanding that article. The author seems to have some very misguided ideas about how to run a company. If the manager lacks the skills needed to hire suitable people and give them direction then the result is going to be bad regardless of gender. Note that treating people kindly does not include writing a nasty article about them for a tabloid. # At 'that time of the month' - which in an office staffed only by women meant # someone was always at that point - any bad mood was swiftly passed on to the # rest of team as if by osmosis. There has been research on the supposed effects of PMS. Apparently the mood changes related to menstruation are less than mood changes in men related to the day of the week (IE Monday sucks but Friday afternoon is great). Blaming PMS when a woman is angry is a lot easier than looking for things that might legitimately make anyone angry and then trying to fix them. If we are going to look at male behavior in a mostly-male environment one example that should be considered is the Debian project. Some years ago Debian had no procedures for expelling Developers for anything other than criminal action. When some DDs didn't get along then things just became increasingly hostile until someone voluntarily left. I presume that someone who had access to the debian-private archives and little understanding of people could write an article for the Daily Mail about how a 98% male project didn't kiss goodbye to conflict, however that would be a really stupid article. In recent times DDs have been expelled for being assholes and things are a lot better. Another example of male behavior could be probably almost any professional football club. There was a recent issue in the news about an American football team where a player resigned after being bullied by other players. Tim, I don't expect you to consider these issues or change your opinion of women. I'm writing this for the benefit of other people who are less misogynistic than you. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
