Hi All,
http://www.amazon.com/William-Shakespeares-Star-Wars-Doescher/dp/1594746370
A great read. Subject line says it all. Scene for scene, line for line, a re-write of the first movie (episode 4). I've heard rumours there's bootleg electronic copies floating around the internet, for those too poor or to hurried to buy a paper copy. Carl Bayswater p.s. A neat companion to the Family Guy and (something) Chicken spoofs.

Disagree; the novelty wore off after a few pages and I missed the traditional Shakespearean transvestitism and fart jokes.

In elucidating dramatic presentations in parody of "Star Wars", forsake not I beseech thee, yon example of "Hardware Wars." (Admittedly some of the lines MAY have been copied from "Cracked" or "MAD" magazines. Or vice-versa) Also, Melvin Brooks, another dramatist famous for his scatology, later proffered his "Spaceballs" Wikipedia lists other parodies and greater still number of "Fan Films" It also refers to one of "Hardware Wars"'s Dramatis Personae as "Chewchilla". I recall hearing said creature referred to as "Chinchilla, the wookie monster." Dav* On Monday, 28 April 2014 5:57 AM, Carl Turney <carl@boms.com.au> wrote: Hi All,

One of the best is missing from that list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanboys_(film) The cameo with Carrie Fisher is, alone, worth the price of admission. Definitely not a _good_ film, (it's basically just a silly road movie) but very much an amiable one with a number of hilarious moments.

It may be time to reassess using a mail program as the downsides of Yahoo's website could be greater now than that of depending on one system for mail. I did try to tell Yahoo "Don't be too in awe of this technological terror you've constructed" but a remote me doesn't have the impact of a nearby Darth Vader. Happy Star Wars Day to all & may the farces & other parodies be with you!

It seems like Dave Prowse ended up on the dark side of George Lucas. Granted his character would still be dead in Episode 7 so of course he's not in the cast https://au.movies.yahoo.com/galleries/gallery/23079343/meet-the-cast-of-star... but I thought it was obnoxious that an ep of Big Bang Theory gave the impression James Earl Jones was more than the voice. According to the wicked pedia, 4 other actors have also done the voice & 3 other actors have appeared in the films as the character Darth Vader nee Anakin Skywalker. Ah well. In July 2010, Prowse was banned from attending official Star Wars fan conventions by George Lucas. Lucas has given Prowse no reason, other than stating that Prowse "burnt too many bridges" between Lucasfilm and himself. That seems extremely odd, but then Lucas is an odd duck. At least Prowse is still famous all around the UK as the Green Cross Man. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Cross_Code#Green_Cross_Man During the production of Star Wars (New Hope), Carrie Fischer reportedly found Prowse's strong West Country (Bristol) accent so distractingly non-intimidating that she referred to him as 'Darth Farmer' when talking to other cast-members.
