Also knee-jerk grumble about USians leaving the ISO 3166 / ccTLD implicit. Does "BC" mean .bc.ca, or .bc.mx, or .bw (which is .bc in WHO notation)?
(There doesn't seem to be a .bc.us, which was my initial cranky guess.)
When I mailed that to the original recipient, there was no ambiguity in that context, as my correspondent knows Cheryl and that she's Canadian (and longtime resident of the town of Courteney, Comox River valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada). Glad to clear that up, anyway.
