That's a lot of different things.
Yes, but they can all be linked together....
Blogging is different because people explicitely publish things that they want to publish, there is no great pressure to publish more and everyone knows it's world-readable.
Agreed.
LinkedIn is also presumably different because it's work based which means that whole categories of personal data are out of scope for it.
True, but when that data is mined and associated with a lamebook profile and twits...the game changes. Information aggregation across many social networks by third parties is a real threat IMHO.
Some in the global debate deem my attitude as being criminal.....~"What have I got to hide?"

# If you've done nothing wrong # You've got nothing to fear # If you've something to hide # You shouldn't even be here
The Pet Shop Boys sum it up well in "Integral".
Am not sure on your stance here. Based on just the quote above I am guessing that you support such a stance? That a person who hides their on line persona has something to hide? Yet the next few lines in the song are: "You've had your chance Now we've got the mandate If you've changed your mind I'm afraid it's too late We're concerned You're a threat You're not integral To the project" Which for me indicates that the first statement was a sarcastic dig at such an attitude. ??...you have confused me Russell...:-) Rgds
