p.p.s. Anyone ever set up RADIO modems, and used them on a ham or CB rig?
I've used software modems on amateur radio to transmit slowish data - namely psk31. would be happy to help you with this sort of thing if you're interested
p.p.p.s. Anyone ever set up a Wok-Fi? (Using a parallel dish (e.g. a
wok) to extend the range of an external WiFi adapter.)
that's a really poor idea. woks are generally made of steel and have way too large an impedance to work with RF. plus they're not actually electrically parabolic. a foil or mesh corner reflector made to the proper dimensions will perform this role much better.
or, just buy an actual high gain and/or directional antenna :)
