Which one should I select?
It would've been easier to give a meaningful answer if you had included your functional requirements up-front. For example:
No idea as I don't have time to do LineageOS stuff.
--> CM/Lineage support is NOT REQUIRED. I will run the vendor's OS.
I've narrowed my decision to the above 2 phones because I want a big screen. I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini while they were doing the warranty assessment and the small screen is really annoying.
--> SHOULD/MUST have a big screen (define "big").

Interestingly, NEITHER of these vendors are measured in this 2015 paper about the security quality of stock vendor Android distros: https://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~drt24/papers/spsm-scoring.pdf If you're too lazy to read the paper, the pop-culture version is: http://androidvulnerabilities.org/
