I've got a Galaxy S that I've had for 21 months. I haven't changed the software on it other than directly from Samsung (I recently updated the firmware through Samsung Kies) and it's randomly crashed on me, too, only recently.

Other than that it's a great phone. It's had its niggles but I've generally been really happy with it.
