My Nexus 6P has just been confirmed permadead by Kogan's warranty people and they have no stock for a respawn. They offered me one of the above instead (which is a good deal as they are newer and higher spec than the old phone).
Which one should I select?
Does lineageOS support any of them? Some time I want an Android phone, but not quite, one with what was Cyanogenmod, and is now LineageOS rather than Android, and certainly not with the "extras" so often included. The manufacturers ones are less offensive than the bits the telcos tend to add, in large measure.
No idea as I don't have time to do LineageOS stuff. The Xperia is very unlikely to as Sony traditionally has been less open than most Android vendors. Kogan has a heap of phones on offer and it's quite likely that one of them will be more suited to your use than those 4. But as I can't save money by getting a cheaper phone (they are offering me all the phones of about the same price as my Nexus 6P) and don't feel inclined to spend more (it would be a hassle as well as expensive) my options are limited. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/oneplus-5-64gb-grey/ The OnePlus seems to be well regarded as an Android phone if you have the money for it. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/lg-google-nexus-5x-32gb-black/ Nexus phones are generally well supported by all other OS builds. The Nexus 5X for $529 is an OK deal, not a great deal given that the Nexus 6P with 64G was $700 a year ago and would presumably be cheaper now if they had stock. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/huawei-mate-9-dual-sim-64gb-gold-huawei/ https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/lg-g6-dual-sim-64gb-silver/ I've narrowed my decision to the above 2 phones because I want a big screen. I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini while they were doing the warranty assessment and the small screen is really annoying. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
