No, wikipedia is fine, but it IS NOT without fault, just like any other website. ie, it's not the be all and end all to all arguments, that simple.
When one person cites Wikipedia and the other has so little regard for truth, accuracy, and the time of other people that they say "yes, this is just a quick google, I'm not going to verify it's correctness or otherwise, please don't ask me to" then it is the end of the argument. It's not just that you are fairly consistently wrong, but that you don't care about it. An email discussion is not a Ph.D thesis. It doesn't require the highest standards of references.
