I'm not familiar with the Android security model. Is there any permission that they could have required, but didn't? In other words, are they opening up everything? The two communities that I work in, namely (1) the academic/research community, and (2) the Linux/free software/open-source community, tend not to use FaceBook heavily, so I'm under no pressure to use it at this point.
