I won't disagree with that as general advice (although I would certainly treat Kickstarter or any other crowd funding the same way), but this is a company that has already delivered a phone to market and that is a world of difference from the average crowdfunding campaign.

Not saying all stuff on say Kickstarter is always brilliant, but it appears to get a lot more scrutiny also by the community and in media. Errors in business happen there also but at least they're of the classic variety that can be easily identified.

Just my 2c of caution.
