Would be grateful for advice at the naive user level for help on how to proceed with following problem rhn@jeack.com.au is a functioning email address; that is I can send (eg this one ) and recieve emails from it ; the history is that ownership seems to have been taken over by different companies following amalgamations : jeack pty. ltd was taken over by hotkey was taken over by iprimus....etc. Question: iprimus now seems to have disowned the domain name (conversation with iprimus support ) ; basicly even 2nd level support doesn't know or can't be bothered working out how the current arrangement can exist. My suspicion is that somehow "rhn@jeack.com.au" has become an alias for "rhn1@hotkey.net.au" (which is acknowledged to exist) I would like to keep the email address; but their technical support seems to be suggesting I host the domain somewhere else, is this possible ? Just off the top of my head even if the domain name is no longer registered; surely this would have consequences should there be any one else with a 'jeack.com.au' email address ?; BUT if it was possible what is the proceedure ? regards Rohan McLeod
