my phone only rings about 3 times before diverting to voicemail, so if (as is usual) my phone is in another room plugged in to the charger, it gets diverted to voicemail just as i'm picking it up to answer it. this is very annoying. anyone know of an android app that works like an old fashioned land-line answering machine, i.e. 1. answers the call after X rings 2. plays a short message, that I can record like "leave a message after the beep" 3. starts recording, saving to sdcard AND playing on the phone's speaker and, most importantly: 4. allows me to pick up the call during the recording. i don't really care if it continues to record the conversation from this point or not. a search on the google play store for 'call screening' or 'answering machine' just gets a shitload of garbage. craig -- craig sanders <cas@taz.net.au>
