I download Humble Bundles with this tool [1], which I have adjusted as per this post [2] for my own repo [3]. Don't use repo [1] for this download set as it is because it will download each file to a string variable and grind your machine to a halt (the largest file is around 7.7GB) -- even with 16GB of RAM and 16GB of swapfile, it was a problem for me. My latest changes for this project in my repo [3], download the http response bodies to files and does a little extra filename adjustment for the download types encountered. In time I will probably have my changes included in the original repo (as has been done previously), but I'm not quite ready yet.
