No, that is not the case.

LUV-talk is anything goes in regards to *topic* i.e.,

"For LUV members who just want to chat to like minded people about
anything at all."

But Section 3 of the rules of the lists states: "Offensive language is
disallowed on all of the LUV mailing lists."

And Section 7 states "Members are expected to remain polite..."
