Funny, that. (Funny strange, not funny ha-ha.) In my geographical area in a strange silicon-bestrewn land across a wide ocean, I've maintained a calendar of local, interesting technical events, http://linuxmafia.com/bale/ . After many years of ignoring Meetup, Inc. groups, I've lately had a painful reassessment that I can no longer _completely_ ignore them, but needed a policy to deal with certain craziness such as the above. So, as of a couple of months ago, every mention of a Meetup, Inc. event on my calendar bears a footnote with hyperlink. And the hyperlink goes here: http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Essays/meetup.html Damning with faint praise is an art form well worth cultivating, I've always said.
once one leaves the clear waters of science: and 'what is happening' and 'what is causing it'; to ask or asert 'what should happen' one is actually in a category of philosophy, which deals with values, ethical-prescription and ethical-ends. Other categories are ontology, epistemology and perhaps metaphysics !
