Not sure it's a reliable source but Telstra support (Exhibition Street )sent me to: "Happy Mobile 247 Lonsdale Street 96634180 " when an " excessively enthusiastic" use of "Kingroot"; put the phone beyond 'factory reset'; they fixed the phone for $50 !
http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/category.php?id=1246&o=a&s=2 Thanks for the suggestion. They quoted me $149, the phone originally cost $550 including postage in 2014. The Note 4 costs $550 + postage now from Shopping Square and a new Note 3 is on ebay with a buy it now price of $380 with free postage. It seems like bad value to pay 40% of the price of a new Note 3 or 25% the price of a Note 4 to fix my old phone (which is a little worn and has some other minor issues). I'd rather spend a bit more and have a better phone and give my old phone to one of my relatives who doesn't mind having a cracked screen. Samsung seems to release a new phone in each series every year, so there's probably only a few months until the Note 6 is released. I can wait that long and get a really cheap Note 4 or a moderately cheap Note 5. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
