FWIW, I'm in Sint Maarten / Saint Martin in the Caribbean, not that it matters. ;->
Indeed. It's Princeton, NJ for me, over Comcast, who appear to have occasional issues routing packets to their destinations, which is all that I'm actually paying them to do. I also tried it at my host on Linode, so I suspected the problem was at the other end.
