I had tabs open yesterday afternoon, watching the rain radar, then problem connecting. Since then have tried to ping bom.gov.au and nothing back. Has anyone heard anything.

I just opened bom radar in normal time.

Again just tried the ping, and no connection, total loss of packets. May be able to get to some BOM servers rather than the main front end, but something not working.
