I would just like to clarify the recent decision to upgrade, the 100 Mb/s 'fibre-to-the-node, to 1Gb/s fibre-to-the-home.What many of these left leaning anarchist commentators seem incapable of understanding,is that when the ALP proposed this, they wickedly sought to burden the poor taxpayer with yet another tax.But what the Liberal government is proposing is an upgrade to provide higher capacity, for companies and individuals who need more.Where would we be without Malcolm Turnbull 's technological vision ? :-)
Labor was planning for $37B, Liberal claimed that they would cut the cost to $29B but instead increased it to $51B. https://etbe.coker.com.au/2010/02/17/can-the-nbn-ever-break-even/ The NBN can never be a profit making enterprise unless the construction costs are significantly marked down (at least 75% of the cost written off). That would mean about $37B of tax payer money written off. I would just like to clarify that I don't object to Liberal policies due to being some sort of left leaning anarchist. I object to Liberal policies because I understand maths and business while Liberal politicians either lack knowledge of both those things or lie all the time. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
