Hello All,
<snip>
OK so I just tried a series of pings, starting with the address URL of the radar page I had opened a few minutes ago. Here's my results:
ping http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR021.loop.shtml ping: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR021.loop.shtml: Name or service not known
keith@asus3 Thu13Aug2020@09:52:01 :/apps$ sudo ping http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR021.loop.shtml [sudo] password for keith: ping: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR021.loop.shtml: Name or service not known
keith@asus3 Thu13Aug2020@09:52:25 :/apps$ sudo ping http://www.bom.gov.au/products/ ping: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/: Name or service not known
keith@asus3 Thu13Aug2020@09:52:33 :/apps$ sudo ping http://www.bom.gov.au/ ping: http://www.bom.gov.au/: Name or service not known
The page is still showing cloud moving after the pings.

No response to pings, but site is currently working. I find that troubling. Ping is a useful diagnostic. They may have found trouble with ping floods as a form of service denial. Regards, Mark Trickett
