No, but the plain text format _might_ be more useful and the output can
be easily viewed and searched using your favourite text editor.
$ man  rsync | md5sum
4c87c9384b588344f28bb78837e8e478  -
$ man -7 rsync | md5sum
4c87c9384b588344f28bb78837e8e478  -

On my system they both give the same result.
