If I wanted to make phone calls, I would consider either the $20 casual plan + $10 a month data (includes $20 phones calls 0.27c connection + 0.47c per min or 42 mins voice calls) or the $20 member plan, which looks similar, but 12 month contract in return for a choice of "bonus" options.
My service is a "corporate" one that requires an ABN on the Optus network. It cost me $0 to setup, $0 per month with zero inclusions. Calls at 12c/30sec with no flagfall -- data at 2c per MB, counted in KB and it also gives me a static IP address! It is also a service that I sell as an agent for Exetel.
