Hi Folx, I thought I would do the right thing and try to join a Linux Town Hall ( https://luma.com/v0loskqm?tk=haWr5A) to see what is happening in the Linux Victorioa world, unfortunately I couldn't make the face to face meeting but found that there was a handy Online option ( https://linuxvictoria.org/events/2026-03-10_town-hall-march-2026/). I've been sitting here for a while now and looks like someone has forgotten to start the online portion of the meeting. Do we know if this town hall has happened? And is there a reliable way to get some questions answered? Thanks, Sae Ra

I'm sorry you weren't able to join the meeting. As Phil said, the meeting happened. I was there in person at Inspire9, though I also joined the online meeting from my (Pine)phone, to get access to the chat. We probably had the best turn-out in a long time, 6 in person and 14 online (though a few of those, like me, were duplicates of in-person attendees). At first, I was really puzzled that you couldn't join. Then I had a thought: The advertised link https://electronworkshop.com.au/goto/venue/ takes you to just a landing page, no meeting. I was stumped by this for a while myself last night, until I realised that the text "ELECTRON WORKSHOP EVENUE" is in fact a link to take you to the actual online meeting. I guess the idea is to have a single, simple URL to give people access to whatever is the current online LUV meeting. But that landing page isn't clear enough. I'm guessing that might be why you couldn't get to the meeting, and wonder how many other people hit the same problem. Anyway, I hope to see you (and other folk) in person or online at the April meeting. — Smiles, Les.

Why not create the shortest possible URL in one of your domains like http:// m.linuxvictoria.org which redirects to a URL that takes you straight to the actual meeting? That avoids confusion like this and also makes it easier for someone who has to type it in to a phone. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
