Files produced by python-iview give errors like the following when I try to play them with mplayer. Anyone have suggestions for how to deal with it? The files produced last year were ok but it seems that something changed at the ABC so files downloaded this year don't work. $ mplayer IN1501H016S00MA1D1_20171216030611_650000.flv MPlayer 1.3.0 (Debian), built with gcc-7 (C) 2000-2016 MPlayer Team do_connect: could not connect to socket connect: No such file or directory Failed to open LIRC support. I've in the past noticed a few issues playing such videos on a Windows 7 machine using CCCP or K-Lite codecs. The solution I've figured out is to "normalise" them by transcoding them to MP4 using ffmpeg/avconv. -Manoj.C On Tue, Jan 16, 2018 at 2:28 PM, Russell Coker via luv-main < luv-main@luv.asn.au> wrote:

Hi Russell I use vlc and the message is no more illuminating, "avformat demux error: No streams found" Yet webdl works well. It saves the file as a mp4 Cheers Nic
