I actually meant the extent and quantity of binary package dependencies, and, yeah, just doing 'apt-get install gitit', if feasable. (I'm lazy and spoiled by Debian's build infrastructure.) Build dependencies are of course a whole different thing, and a point worth noting for situations where it's relevant.
