Re: [luv-main] list-id issue -- we have a change in list naming?

Can you guys stop these excess LUV emails.. ? I was on the LUV list and got about 3-4 emails per week... OK.. Now its suddenly about 40 per day... Seems like something has gone astray with the email system... thanks Peter -----------------

As craig suggested, it'd be very nifty, though, if we could lose the "[luv-main]" pollution in the Subject header. The plethora of list headers on which to filter, make it entirely redundant.
Also mangling the subject breaks DKIM in almost all cases as the Subject is signed in all typical configurations. Appending a footer doesn't necessarily break things as the signer can use the l= flag.

If you READ the messages then you will discover why there are some problems and why they can't be fixed as fast as you wish. One problem which became apparent is the change from luv-main@luv.asn.au to luv-main@lists.luv.asn.au which has resulted in some messages being sent twice as "reply to all" seems to get both addresses if the message that you reply to was sent to luv-main@luv.asn.au. I think that one of those two addresses should be turned off. This list is for discussing general Linux stuff and stuff related to the general operation of LUV. We will keep discussing such things here, you can switch to "digest mode" if you want to receive fewer messages. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
