Free rack-mount servers

Anyone here want some old rack-mount servers? The dozen or so pictured here are going to get thrown out shortly. (Well, OK, we're going to pay to have them responsibly recycled, but you know what I mean) They're all pretty old so probably not worth the electricity to run them, but maybe interesting for someone to play with, so I thought I'd offer. http://s378.photobucket.com/user/wintrmute/media/servers_zpseed1402f.jpg.htm... No hard drives included. No guarantees. No specifications. No returns. Pick-up from Fitzroy ASAP. -Toby

What type of RAM do they have? If it's DDR2 then please pull it for the hardware library. I can collect from your place. Even older than DDR2 might be useful to someone. Please tell the list what it is. On 16 October 2014 2:04:22 PM AEDT, Toby Corkindale <toby@dryft.net> wrote:

There's PC133 non-ECC in the hardware library. There used to be some PC133 ECC but someone may have taken that. On 16 October 2014 6:36:17 PM AEDT, Michele Bert <micbert75@gmail.com> wrote:

The old PC133 would be really interesting for me!

A briefcase full of old hardware that I take to every main meeting and some beginner's meetings. Anyone can take whatever they need. Donations of stuff that's small, light, and useful are appreciated. On 16 October 2014 7:39:51 PM AEDT, Michele Bert <micbert75@gmail.com> wrote:

I suspect the majority is DDR2 I think, but I haven't looked in detail. It seems like I have a taker for the whole pile, so they'll get the RAM though.
