I just got given a HP ML 350 G6 server that I had hoped to use for LUV training etc. It has 18G of RAM (9 DIMM slots used out of 18 total and the only DIMM I could read was 2G), 2CPUs that each probably are in the 3000-5000 speed range according to https://www.cpubenchmark.net/ and 6*146G 15000rpm SAS disks. It's a nice mid range server. The problem is that it appears to have a broken power supply backplane (the thing that connects to the hot-swap power supplies). Does anyone know where to get a backplane cheap? I'm not paying $80 given the possibility that whatever damaged the backplane damaged the rest of it in the process. Does anyone have a similar HP system they want to use for swapping parts or something?
