Downloading/Archiving Yahoo! Groups

Hi LUVers, One upon a time there were some simple perl scripts (e.g., grabyahoogroup, fetchyahoo) which were quite good at downloading and archiving Yahoo! groups. Now with the new web-interface redesign "neo", these scripts don't really work. Does anyone know of some alternatives that work on Linux? Thats why Yahoogroups, Googlegroups and all such groups etc are evil! Just thinking though, its possible on Yahoo mail at least to revert to an older interface for older computers. There may be a similar option for the Yahoo group thing? Daniel. On 24/10/14 15:49, Lev Lafayette wrote:

If you don't already have a newsreader, this is probably not helpful. I read public MLs via gmane, because my newsreader does a better job of NNTP than my mailer does of ML mail. Whether you get an "archive" depends on whether someone has already gone to the trouble of adding the group. I don't know if the MLs in gmane are mailman, yahoo, or google, because that's transparent to me. gmane also carries (one-way) RSS/Atom crap, which I use for stuff like LWN and lightbluetouchpaper.
