I have those graphics in my think pad, worked out of the box with fedora 17 and 18.

Is that the chipset you get built into the i3/i5 CPUs? If so, it should work just fine on any modern Linux distro. The Intel GPUs are absolutely terrible for performance, but at least they're well-supported.
