JailTime.org now redirects to Stacklet.org which requires payment before downloading. There's no way I'm paying $10 to download 143MB of Xen image! Does anyone know of a good free source for Xen images? If not does anyone want to create one? I can provide hosting for Bittorrent... -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

If you don't have a burning need for anything other than SUSE-based images, try http://susestudio.com/ (create your own) & http://susegallery.com/ (download/clone others' creations). Regards, Tim -- tim@wirejunkie.com http://www.wirejunkie.com/

Thanks for the suggestion, from your brief description it sounds like an interesting service. Unfortunately I had to login and it didn't like my OpenID service so I can't try it out at the moment. Anyway my specific need at the moment is to get a Fedora image running so I can make sure that Debian SE Linux works in a similar way to Fedora SE Linux except when there's a good reason to do otherwise. So a SUSE image isn't of much use to me at this moment. I'll keep it in mind for future reference and if I create a site for such things I'll like to it. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

Dunno about Xen, but I make my own LXC images; it's NOT THAT HARD. What's the problem? Would you even trust an image provided by the internet equivalent of "some bloke I met in a pub" ?

But it takes a lot longer than downloading an image.

So you don't put secret data on such images or grant them access to your private network. Running a potentially hostile image on a virtual machine without risk is NOT THAT HARD. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/

Xen is said to be fully integrated into recent kernels, so you shouldn't need patches anymore, unless there are drivers that still haven't moved into the mainline.
