[luv-main] Digest mode broken ?

Hi, Up until a few minutes ago, I was getting both LUV Main and LUV Talk in digest mode only. In the last few minutes, I have started to receive unbundled messages to LUV Main and on logging into the mailman page, saw that Digest mode was turned off. I have since enabled Digest again. Has something happened with the listserver, or was it just me ? They've had a hardware failure apparently and are coming back with Mailman instead of Sympa. More info once they've done the headless chook bit.. cheers, Chris -- Chris Samuel : http://www.csamuel.org/ : Melbourne, VIC

That explains the list-id issues too. I've now got the old format and new formats covered, but I guess they'll want to address that and revert back to the old format so that everyone doesn't need to go through the pain of adjustments. -- Kind Regards AndrewM Andrew McGlashan Broadband Solutions now including VoIP

Also fiddled with some of the headers, had to reset my filters, all fixed now (and using List-Id: now :) ). 73 de VK3JED / VK3IRL http://vkradio.com

And that damn "[luv-main]" text has been prepended by stealth after years of arguing for and against. Someone cared so much about it that they killed the hardware just so they could slip this in? :P (can we fix that setting, pretty please? procmail can easily filter posts into folders without that, but can't strip the useless text out of the subject line, at least reliably, and guaranteed to work no matter how many times the thread bounces back and forth between luv-main and luv-talk, and how many times people change the subject line of a thread.) -- Tim Connors

ah, ok. thought it might be a hw failure. Chris, can you forward this to whoever's working on the lists? just in case any help is needed, i'll stick my hand up to help out. i've got a lot of experience dealing with mailing lists. too many sysadmins break the config, so if there's something non-urgent that needs to be done (and can be done without interfering with or diverting your attention from the more urgent work) then i can take that workload. e.g. scripting the import of the old archives. or even just general advice if needed. craig -- craig sanders <cas@taz.net.au>
