Are you talking about an alert box
On my firefire the alert box is placed reasonably centrally (hor and
vert) on the firefox parent window.
On my chromium the alert box is placed centrally (hor) and near the top
(vert). The chromium one has additional annotation.
I have no idea how to control the location of the box.....
