Well, if sociopathic answers are allowed... Domino stores mail in a db; it can probably be replicated.
Lotus Notes relies exclusively on their database replication to deliver mail between the server and the client. :)
Last time I tested it Lotus violated the relevant RFCs in gross ways. When mail was addressed to a non-existent user (even a user in an invalid domain) a bounce message would be sent to the From: field as well as CC: fields. I think it also used the To: field in the original message (even if obviously faked) as the From: field in the bounce. It appeared that I could have trivially made two Lotus servers attack each other in a recursive manner, but I resisted the temptation to make two IBM servers DoS each other so I'll never know for sure. The Lotus email system was written by people who fundamentally don't understand email and were too lazy to read the standards documents. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
