CPL's "Skymaster" dual ether PCI-E?

CPL stock a cheap PCI-Express dual UTP gigabit ether card: http://www.cplonline.com.au/skymaster-pci-express-dual-gigabit-ethernet-cont... Anyone tried using them in OpenBSD? Can anyone advise chipset, or what manufacturer/model id's it reports, or any dmesg diagnostic? (I currently have some Intel Pro/1000 MT cards, but one has decided to intermittently fail 1GB sync) Thanks, Douglas Ray

Realtek... that's all I can tell you from a quickish google. http://www.speeddragon.com/index.php?controller=Default&action=ProductInfo&I... A.

(Thanks Andrew, Russell and George: Re: CPL's "Skymaster" dual ether PCI-E? especially the pointer to speeddragon) What recommendations have we got for cat5e cable that actually is 5e, ditto cat6? (with the RJ45s attached, not bare cable) Anyone have a cat6 or cat5e validation tool they'd be willing to bring to a Tues or Sat LUV event? Anyone had experience of a cat6/cat5e validation tool, not in the price range of a car, that did anything worthwhile? Thanks, Douglas Ray

Spend the few extra dollar elsewhere. You won't regret it if you ever end up with a defective part and have to go through their "support" people. -- Email to luv-sub@tripleg.net.au will bounce. Email to george at the same domain will accept.
